Possible electrical issue?

Hi all,
still lovin' my FL1.8 Millenium....
Just passed another MOT, with only the following advisory:
"Sat Nav obscuring drivers view"


However, I may have an impending electrical problem, and I'm hoping that someone can help....

Today, happily driving, along and suddenly...no indicators.
a few seconds later, SRS warning light, and ABS warning light on, for about 20 seconds. Then all ok again, and indicators working.

Also, a couple of times in the last few months, I've noticed, when turning the key in the ignition, I have VERY faint dash lights. Engine spins fine, and starts, but only runs for about 10 seconds, then dies.
Turn the key again, and all is OK.

Hopefully, someone can help?

That's a bad connection somewhere. Try the main engine earth first, then the main chassis earth, if both are fine then clean up your battery terminals.

Hi Freelance,
would dodgy ign. switch also be responsible for SRS and ABS lamps briefly illuminated?

When my ignition switch failed, sometimes the wipers/reverse lights and horn wouldn't work when the engine was running, but would work wiff the engine off, and ignition on electric's on option only. Worn/burnt contracts in side switch.
