posible defects

Hi all I stil havent foung the right pickup for me yet ive had alook at some but they werent up to much.
Is there anything in particular i should be checking on the older models ie is there an area thats prone to rot if not correctly cared for and how many miles is to many i seen one last week and it had 213000 on it does any one think thats got anothe 100k to go
