poor performance when cold

hi,have a td4 auto and seems very sluggish until warmed up and gearbox seems to take longer to change up until engine warms up.is this normal
 
god im splitting my sides with laughter now i know i should have bought a 20 year old rust bucket instead

Some sluggishness should be expected from anything when it's cold. Don't rag it till it's warm!
