Been having idling problems with My55, the revs fluctuate and the engine management light flickers on, this also happens occasionally while driving, a momentary loss of power and flickering engine management light.

I have replaced the air, fuel and oil filters this week which has not improved things, I also ran the car with the maf sensor disconnected which also didnt work either.

Any ideas ?

Can be caused by faulty wiring/dirty connections at the fuel rail pressure sensor......

Sounds like what happened to mine a few weeks ago.The rev counter just died and the engine management light came on ,well after the engine got up to temp,10 miles in each time.It turned out to be a crack in th e crank position sensor.
Yours being a much newer vehicle the revs could be counted from somewhere else like the alternator.

The fuel pressure sensor is at the gear box end of the engine, underneath the inlet manifold, on the end of the fuel rail. They are known to corrode. Have you tried running it with the EGR valve vacuum pipe removed as this can also cause similar problems.

Thanks Clarke, I removed the EGR vacuum valve pipe and my problem has gone. I will whip the EGR off at the weekend and give it a clean.
