My mate has been on steel bay and has found someone who is selling Polyeurothane Bush set for 100 notes. Now I've been told this is a full set.

Is it worth changing all these and how easy is it to do??

Check this out Stu DC7000 Britpart Yellow Polyurethane Bush Kit - Discovery 1 £57.58 with the vat. If you wana see how its done Busta has got his own work shop section back on the home page and hes done some poly bush ones. Have a peek n see. There on my to do list so I duno how hard it is. Should imagin the hard bit is geting the rusty nuts and bolts undone then you just got to burn the rubber bushes out and hacksaw through the metal outer bits of the old bush.

wouldent if i was you

you'll need lots of time plenty of patiance an a big hammer, can be a bastid to get the radias arm bolts out an whatch out when you burn the old bushes out, i had one that tried to enter orbit whe it shot out in the air an just issed the wifes car on the way down:rolleyes:

an dont bother with ****part:rolly: :beer2:

woohoo! looks like the new smileys work:dizzy:

just recently finished fitting complete xxxxpart kit to me rr classic the other week,
1- some of the bolts are a bastxxd to get out:mad:
2- the bottom shock bushes didn't fit:mad:
3- don't burn out the old bushes just drill loads of holes through the middle rubber then press out in a vice or workmate;)
4-i lso ordered a bolt kit as mine were proper rusty but 2 of the front radius arm bolts were too short

all in all it wasn't bad deal for the price car handles a lot better and doesn't squeek anymore:D
i think sometimes britpart get a bit of a pasting, they sell stuff at pretty good prices especially compared to dealer prices:eek: and sometimes you gets what you pay for;)

Shouldn't be like that tho Rusty. Your buying the bolts and the bushes for a specific aplication such as a Range Rover clasic or disco 1 300tdi and just cos there cheep shouldn't mean that some of the bits shouldn't fit. Good to here that the bits that did fit work well though. Its like a discusion I had on her before about Britpart being cheep... If your Tescos value toaster didn't toast then you would take it back and if it burnt your house down you wouldn't say "Well... it was only a fiver" If some one blindly fitted the bolts supplied that were too short and suspension parts start droping off at speed you end up in an uncontrolable 2 ton battering ram!

i appriciate what you're saying disco and had anything important been wrong i'd of got the ump ;) i just put the wrong bits down to a possible mix-up over model years but maybe i'm too forgiving :)

I'm a bit like you Rusty, I ordered a cam belt kit for the Vectra.
Got it delievered to my mates work and started the job only to find one of the rollers was missing. Not a major drama but it was slightly annoying, if it had been at a shop I would have taken it back but for £40 couldn't be ar$ed.

One advantage over the oe rubber jobs is that polybushes are a lot easier to fit ond remove when they're knackered. Not got much experience of em in the long term but I got a set of deflex jobbies to go on me 110 when I eventually get round to it.
