Pocking around to find an oil leak, shocked at the shocks!

So oil leak is another story/thread!

How loose should my rear shocks be?

TD5 20004. Loose at the top end and bottom end, play is 5mm around the top bush and more around the bottom one with heavy washer under the shock shaking about.

is this normal?

not checked the front yet.

well thanks shocking as only had an MOT 3 weeks ago.

so guess the bushes need changing.

or tightening. Best done before hole in bottom bracket wears bigger. Bottom washer should have a ridge which sits in hole and keeps it central.Tighten until rubber washer expands to width of washer roughly.

Cheers Mick. They are pretty flat already, will try a spanner on them to see if they pinch up a bit.

Not with the shocks, just a ball joint.

You may want to fit new nyloc nuts. Strange how old ones loosened off
