hi guys new to the forum, ive got a 90 and had it for 6 month now, basically its had a soft rebuild, all body panels sorted resprayed all electrics sorted upgraded were possible, both front hubs striped and recond, full chequer plate, guards were needed, wading kit snorkel all been fitted,

So im now starting the interior, put two suburu impreza buckets in the front, sports steering wheel and bench seats in the back, all of rear tub has been coated in protektacote.

I now need to sort the sides, so I intend to use ply for the sides but was wondering how you fasten the ply to the sides???

and what would be the best thing to use for insulation? camping roll mat? or some kind of household insulation or something entirely different?

any help will be appreciated guys.

If its sound insulation you are after my 90 is considerably quieter now I have fitted an Exmoor Trim carpet set up front. I have to say for what it cost its not the best quality but it has made things considerably less noisy. I fitted it over the existing carpet and tunnel cover and used spray glue and sone self tappers to fix it all in place.

I was at Decathlon last weekend and they had some black camping / yoga mats for £2.99 so I bought half a dozen. I am going to fit that under the seats and up the bulkhead as well and I think that should further quieten things down.

I have the standard land rover rubber mat in the rear of mine and have been wondering what t do there. Thought about pulling it out and fitting camping mat then refitting. Might help with the sound deadening a bit!

cheers for the reply

not thought about up front yet I know its gunna need new foot wells and floors cuz the guy before me made some effing ghastly repairs, I fancy the camping mat and decathalon is a great shout, the Exmoor trim la sale and mud stuff panels are all good and look like they're factory fitted but there ridiculously expensve, so I fancy ply lining the sides with some acoustic cloth as I need to save my money for vital bits which previous owner has ####ed up.

Ive lined the floor, sides and roof of my 110 - I rivoted all the ply in place and then got some cheap cord carpet and used spray adesive to stick it to ply. Worked a treat and looks alright aswell !!

Be careful about using camping mat as some types hold water like a sponge... if you are looking for insulation that will reduce condensation behind ply or headlining you could look at using B and Q double sided insulation foil... its bubble rap that has foil on both sides. Have a peep at this thread from a few months back... it may help. http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f7/headlining-revamp-210581.html
