Please sign my petition

Hi all, Just signed up so that I can tell you about my petition. I set it up
last year on the number 10 website and it expires very soon. I desperately
need more signatures. If you don't agree with what I am saying then fine, don't sign it, but if you do then I'd be ever so grateful if you'd sign it before 23rd January 2008 and if you'd let as many other 4x4 owners know about it as possible then hopefully I'll get masses of signatures. Its basically a petition to the P.M. about the unfair high tax on 4x4 vehicles. There is only a little bit to read so please please take a look

But the road tax bands do not specify which type of car is included or excluded. It's all down to emmissions so porches, mercs, beemers and probably all supercars - most of which are 2 wheel drive, are all in the top tax group.

I think you'll find its only the media which have jumped onto the 4x4 tax slogan, as usual **** poor repoting of the facts in the press, swallowed up by the gullible.

I do agree however the level of taxation is too high generally and that the emmisions generated by cars are far less damaging to the environment as a whole than we are led to believe.

My solution is a pre 2001 RR 4.6. I pay less than £200 a year for the privilige of driving of driving a "massively uneconomical, polluting, earth destroying 4x4" and love every minute.

Signed,.....anything that infringes my right to be equal to my fellow man because of monitary reasons is not democratic. The government should just tax fuel and nothing else. The more you use,( ie pollute) the more you pay, how much fairer can you get. Its just another stelth tax, from a tax hungry government.

here we go again with the on line pertitions. the ****s dint take no notice of them or havn't yer noticed this. last year one pertition got 20 brazillion hundred signatures and the gov sed " so what? we dint care"

stop wasting yer time with it it int gonna change a thing. if yer real serious might i suggest three alternative to yer pointless pertition?

1/ get yerself elected

2/a blockcade of all major cities for one day a week

3/ move to somewhere that has a goverment that pays some attention to the wishes of joe public

or we try to vote them out at the next erection

No. I just had to pay 18% on my mortgage for longer than 1/2 an hour if thats wot you meant, though I had several mates that were made redundant as an indirect result of the pits closing.
