A thought for @gstuart does the air suspension compressor air filter get clogged and need a small hole drilling in it ? Makes the suspension do silly things if its blocked doen`t it ?

Hi @kds

Indeed as @Datatek also mentions ref the filter , clean or replace

u have the filters inside the air compressors dryer , u have another inlet air filter that sits in the boot , indeed if the filters are blocked when the compressor runs it’s in effect pulling a vaccum, compressor overheats because it can’t get air in

Alas when I got mine I ended up rebuilding virtually the entire suspension system because it had been neglected , took a long time having to test the 10 x air lines , electrics etc

Enclosed a picture of the compressors layout

Also a link of the components

Hope that’s helpful

Thought I had seen something over on fullfat about suspension not lowering could have been l322 though not sport and exhaust not air filter, maybe even the exhaust/silencer filter item 10 I think it was on a drawing in your link, anyway hope they get sorted.

Indeed can be a few things when suspension won’t lower

Switch
Pilot Exhaust valve not opening
Faulty wiring
Ecu not getting message back from sensors
Height sensor wiring issue or not calibrated
Desiccant and filters blocked

Etc, etc

Diagnostics is always the way forward due to the complexity of these vehicles

Always have to go through the system step by step and proving 100% each and every time before moving onto the next step, otherwise can get in a right mess

Plus 1 , hope the op gets its sorted out

What if ....

There was a sheep jammed up in there under the axle.... Maybe a big fat sheep called Leroy?
Or corrosion on the ECU plug?

Lol, maybe it will still lower with the 2.7 tons behind it

Yep bad pins inside the ecu , that will throw up a few errors , heard quite a few stories of people power washing around the main ECM then wondering why it won’t start or instrument panel lights up like a xmas tree

Main suspension ecu is tucked up by the drivers side A pillar

No listen...
I mean really big fat sheep... Like biiiiiig and really faaaaat.
In fact four of them as it is independent suspensionzz..
Yeh, power washing is never a good thing at close quarters with electronic bobbins..

Managed to keep the engine bay on mine nice and clean so far ;)

Two batteries and an intelligent charger to boot!! Get you buddy.
One battery is enough for me. But it is very kind of you to offer.;)

Lmao , only reason I fitted 2 x batteries because there so power hungry , brand new main battery will only last around 3 x weeks if not used , plus wanted the aux battery for camping in order I can use that for lights etc and not drain the main battery

Great decision. Maybe a write up on your mod would be appreciated in the tech' section??
