Swirl chamber. Or pre combustion chamber. Or hotspot, take your pick!
You need to get a new one, very carefully clean the recess in the head, and tap in the new one with a hide or plastic faced hammer. It must go down until it just protrudes, about a thou, you should check protrusion with a dial gauge. When it is in, and protruding the right amount, there is a little roll pin that locates it. It is a fiddly job, hold the pin with pliers, and try and tap it in with a light hammer.

Ok quick update
After looking around online and seeing I only use her about 10 to 20 times a year and the crack is between a swirl chamber and a exhaust valve hence no coolant was being burned
I'm going to carry on and recon my current head
New valves
Seals
Springs
Collets
Rods
The works

I will you keep posted how things go.

Many thanks
Adam
