sorry new to this
1992 v8i petrol any help will do i am going out of my mind i need my disco

yes but was the plugs wet with water, oil or petrol? and what were the deposits?
black crispy things or metalic shiney things or white bits?

sounds like you have an ignition fault, is there a spark at the plugs? if not then it colud be a number of things; coil, plugs, but most likely culprit is the ecu. You can get the ecu checked by an ECU specialist (do a google search)
First thing to do is to check for a spark.

Forgot to mention, you could have a spark that is not strong enough to ignite the fuel, i've seen this before. new plugs and/or leads if they look tired. Does it have an ignition amplifier?

on top of the heater box under the dash is a little black box this is part of the alarm i seem to remember land rover mechs call it a spider box ? well when you get to it remove the cover and look on the back of the circuit board you may find a dry joint if so clean it and re solder it worked for me. john.
