I have a Freelander Sport 2005, the door open warning light is on the dash and the interior lights are all on, all the doors are closed and rear window closed.
A few weeks back, I started to drive and the light and interior lights starting blinking randomly, almost along with bumps in the road, then they just stayed on and so did the warning light that a door is open on the dash.
I have recently had a new tailgate window regulator fitted and for some reason, when I open and close the tailgate door, sometimes the window will not close all the way to the top, as you all know it drops a little as you open the door as it should then closes completely once tailgate door is closed. More often than not, I have to slam the door several times until the window closes as it should and the door engages the lock. I dont think its a problem with the window regulator, I think its the lock.
Once I have the door closed and I think the problem is solved, 10 mins driving down the road the warning light comes on again for a door open and all the interior lights come on again, all doors are shut and secure, I just dont get it???
As a result, I cant open the tailgate window and I cant lock the doors, if I do, 20 mins later the alarm goes off!!
