Plastic Wings

Has anyone got experience of the plastic outer wings that are available from parts suppliers or should i just bite the bullet and get an alloy one ?

about 5 of the fixings along the top of one of mine broke !!!!!! althouth the otherside is ok, its the drivers side that broke wondering if the snorkle had anything to do with it !!

my last defender well 110 was to old to be a defender. it had two of the fiberglass wing outers, never had any probs with them and i had it for 6 years before selling it on and im sure they were there long before i bought it
