Ordered a new radiator from craddocks expected one to come with a blue lable on it but no we ended up with one of these new fangeled plastic aluminum ones , it's made by ava cooling probably Chinese can't see a country of origin on it .
layed it beside old copper on and apart from filler cap slightly off to one side it seems the same.
Can't fit it yet because Rick at Cumbria series solutions is rebuilding front grill.
But I wondered if any one had any thoughts

They are in Sheffield, although I don't know where the stuff is made.

It is hard to find all metal ones now, you can get the old one recored, but it is hard to find places that do it now, and they are very expensive when you do. You can also do it yourself if you can source some materials and a few simple tools, but that may not be worth the candle for just one.

having gone through 2 plastic and Ali rads in 2 years I stumped up to get my original copper and brass one recored.
Super worth the money, 5 years later and it’s perfect still, works better than the Ali ones did to

I'm going to give it a try but I won't get rid of the old one just in case I get it re cord. Can't see this new one being repairable.

I can recommend ‘Guildford radiators’ down south. If you aren’t near might be worth to be in them see if they will do a postal service?

Keep looking, I needed a recore and shopping around got the price down to under £200. In the end I found a good used one on e-bay but I've kept the old one in case. For any car i was keeping I'd get a recore over a plastic one anyday.
