Pick-up rear

Hello,

I have a 90 pickup with a canvas cover on the back.

I'd like to use it without the canvas, but the wiring for the rear lights isn't covered at all. Any problem with this? At the minute, it's bare in the back I'm thinking of plyboarding it out with marine-ply.

I was also thinking of getting a locking aluminium 'trunk' to bolt the the floor in the back to use as a boot, has anyone got any thoughts or ideas about this?
