Peugeot 306 problem - help

Sorry this isn't a land rover problem but my mums Peugeot 306 stopped working this morning and she's a bit stressed out, times being hard and all.

Basically all the electrics work and when you turn the ignition the starter motors turns but nothing in the engine catches.

Any ideas? It's a petrol btw. I thought maybe the spark plugs or fuel injection but I'm out of my depth with petrols. Any input would be much appreciated...

Check the HT leads, could've worked loose.

I check all the wiring I could find. What are HT leads?

From the main coil pack to the spark plugs. Give them a push to see if they're on tight. Might be under a plastic engine cover on a pug.

Apparently there is an ecu relay behind the black ecu box. This comes off its clip and works loose. You'll have to find it as I have no idea where it is, then push it back on.

Thanks guys. Got someone to come round with an error code reader. It had three codes, cleared them and now everything seems fine

what were the codes, a code rarely stops the engine from running, it may be an intermittent problem.

as it runs, and is mums, then shes happy....
