Perkins low oil pressure

I am new to Landyzone and indeed to Land Rovers. I have just bought a 1972 88" with a Perkins 4208 3.3 litre engine. As soon as it gets warm the oil light is on all the time. There is plenty of oil in it. Would an oil and filter change help or is the problem likely to be more serious? I would be most grateful for any advise. Many Thanks. Leigh

....if not ^^^

then change the oil, filter and remove clean the pressure release valve in the pump.

No Most that I have found this way are interested in the marine units only. Tractor breakers have been most useful.....in my limited experience with a 4386 unit.

find a local agricultural or heavy plant agent/repairer
