Hi folks. I've just got myself a 2001 td5 Disco 2 (GS). Beforehand I had a 110 V8 on LPG so this wagon is a tad more modern and a whole load more comfortable to drive!!
Anyway, I've discovered a very small tear in the ACE actuator gaitor and after I drive it it weeps fluid.
Is there any way I could repair this 1cm tear in the gaitor without replacing the entire actuator (the less I dislodge ACE pipes the better according to previous threads)?
Would a rubber glue/sealant work? Could it be bound with anything?
Is the fluid weeping out the gaitor tear ACE hydraulic fluid? The reservoir level seems to be okay but I'm keeping a very close eye on it just now.
So many questions!
Otherwise, I'm really loving this wagon.
