The course is designated as three types of track. Theres the white track for heavily modified Freelanders (standard ones won't make it) which most anything can do. the white runs go all over the site and have leading off from there the red and black runs. Red runs are probably about as far as you'll go in a leafer, black runs are modded vehichles with recovery points.

Don't worry about getting stuck, theres plenty of marshalls on hand and a lot of other vehicles about. the nice thing about getting stuck is that the bots who have spent thousands prepping thier vehicles ar only too glad of the opportunity afforded them in recovering a stuck motor. They love it!

It did.

It reversed out! :) There was a hell of a step on the way out that required a heavy right foot and a good run to get up. The white disco failed.

I was at Woodlands at the weekend too! Didn't take many Photo's but I got a couple of my Landy when we finished for the day!

I did a bit of damage though! Found out I broke a U Bolt holding the Rear Axel to the Springs!! Doh!!! Really Good day out though!!

Cheers

Sam

Yup, going with Mick and Paul, taking the new owner of my V8 out to teach him how to off-road. That's providing Slim has finished fiddling with the gear selector by then ;)

Yup, that's the one (same as me avatar). I recall bringing it down for MOT when you were doing the Hill Rally photoshoot earlier this year.

It's not often you sell a vehicle to someone and then they ask you to carry on doing bits and pieces to it and let you borrow it from time to time!

followed by....

'which idiot did this then?'

to which the answer is either:

A: Me

B: You

or c: dunno, was like that when I got it........

B is the funny answer, as it enbles you to haggle for repairs....

I tend to use C to cover up for A.......

the bodgitt & scarper school of motor mechanics..

Slim was quite surprised with mine when he first saw it. V8 EFi Auto Defender 90, hmm, not exactly standard...

It was later he discovered what a mongrel it was, Rangie running gear, new chassis, original interior, but TDi bodyshell and ancilliaries!
