Hi. I had a lack of things to do today, so decided i would see to the corrosion issue on the right side door.

I then set about making a straight edge, by taking a piece of metal, i then bent it over, cut it in half, cut a square to allow of the pieces to form a nice corner piece.

I then drew out with a marker where to cut.

I dressed the patch round the door, cut out the rotten section, then tacked it in to place, bit more grinding, and after a while,

Tell me what you think of the repair :)

Very well done. You've cut out all that rusty metal and replaced it with...........err..........rusty metal!! :D Seriously, use what you've got lying around but a coat of cure rust on that patch wouldn't go amiss. Also would be a good idea to peel back ali skin and coat the whole patch in primer/paint or anything to separate the skin from the frame.:)

Yea, it's all i had lying around. On a week-end i would not expect someone to go out and buy a strip of steel, so i used old footwell. It's intact, let's put it that way. I will use some red oxide on it, then put some bodywork paint on it too.
