we took Humpy out for a blast around Flash / Leek today and discovered when the Heater direction lever is midway, ie air to windscreen and footwell the heat from both side is equal, we double checked by switching it to windscreen and footwell alone and when on the latter thats when the cold air only comes to the passenger side footwell..

Hi, I have exactly the same problem with my 1996 300 Tdi 110 and it is very frustrating. Brand new heater.matrix fitted today (heater box out) and seals looked good. Still the same annoying cold air on passenger side footwell/very hot air on driver's side. Did you ever manage to cure it please and if so how? Thanks.

Hi all
Did you ever get to the bottom of this?
My problem - 2014 Defender on any mid heat setting its blowing hot air at the driver from the dash vents and cold air on Mrs Rusty. When switched to cold it does eventually blow cold. When switched to full heat, we fry, so the fast that the middle setting does not work is puzzling.
Its been back to the stealers who had the whole thing out and "regreased" the flaps and cables.
Any ideas anyone?

Seems very odd.

I had to takle the dash out of my old 90 for something and found a no 8 pool ball in the dash,

Clearly some joker had drop it through the ashtray hole.

on a 110 might be worth a look to check pipes and stuff behind the panels if you have done the matrix etc.
