Just out of interest, which RF receiver unit have you got? It might possibly be burning your locks out if it is an old one and it is picking up interference from wifi.

What he was asking was which RF receiver you have.
This is the box on the rear right wheelarch that receives the signal from your key/remote. There are three versions and both the MkI & MkII can pick up spurious wireless signals and cycle the lock mechanisms so fast and so often that they burn out.
I doubt if that is your current problem but you could do a wee search around the forum for RF Receiver, it's been covered many times in great detail.

Not checked with remote but when I press it down inside the whole car locks ok
And if you lift it up?
