Part number help

Hi have had a shake on my P38 2.5 DT 2000/X reg,
I think it is the steering box gone as can feel play in it.
I found two types of box;
one has part no AMR 5320
and the second is ANR 3242

Does anyone know which one a need, its a right hand drive model.

Also if anyone one knows where i can save a few quid on one i'll appreciate it.

I take it you have tried adjusting the steering box?

no the play in the box is uneven, slack & clonking in some spots and fine in others
if i tighten it wont i end up with a tight spot where the rack is less worn?

Cleaned the top off the steering box in the car and it has the number8055113 on it.
Tried giving parts companys this number and numbers above but noone is sure which one i need, pls help!

for anyone looking @ steering boxes i found that the 5320 is for the facelift p38. and i got it from a range rover breaker in ramsgate, next to benjys alloys on the newington rd.

Why don't you try adjusting the play out before you spend money on a new unit.

wammers > Sorry should have said earlier that i've already changed it and that the part ref number is on the side of the box and only way to see it was to take it out,

The post earlier today was just so if people search and find this thread theres an answer about the part numbers for a steering box.

Thanks for the offer and i would have taken you up on that, but as post above already sorted just added info i found out to thread to help others searching same problem
