parking on hill handbrake and gears

Hi All,

Just a stupid question,

If I park on a steep hill ( 25 degrees steep ) apply handbrake put in gear and get out, will the gears hold my 90 if the handbrake was to fail?

Probably not but it would slow the descent!

Turn steering so it reverses into the kerb as well as an additional safety

Try it (while sitting in it obviously) and see what happens

my series holds in first gear

Low range, first gear, diff lock on, turn steering towards kerb just in case. If in doubt, let the handbrake off and see what happens

I was always asked to pop it in reverse when getting recovered on a trailr. thankfully that hasn't happened for over a year now
