Paranoid about winch pikeys!

Eyup!

Well I bought a disco from a member here up in Fife.

It's got a nice winch setup, however I'm a bit worried about somebody helping themselves to it.

For the moment I've taken the rope off it.

Do other folk take them off altogether when not in use? I'm thinking of making some sort of locking cover to wrap over the winch so I could leave the line on it. Or possibly some electrical quick connects to just unbolt the winch and remove.

Weld the fixing bolts

Like bb said ive spot welded my fixing bolts in past

at the very least fit isolation in the cab so they cant freespool - attach to rear X member. then short out your winch and split your car in two
