Hi, may be getting a D3 soon :) but the panoramic roof os badly cracked. It looks like my current insurance does not cover panoramic roofs. So who does if anyone as I do not, and cannot pay over £500 for a replacement.
So, help, what do I do?????

Get a different D3 without a cracked roof .. or get the amount to replace it knocked off.

It's dirt cheap for a reason, and that reason is probably not likely to be what you can see .. At least check the rest of it over with a fine tooth comb.

It sounds like the sort of deal people fall for, great vehicle, very cheap with a couple of obvious, relatively high cost possible reasons for the low price, the real reason never being disclosed till money's parted ... At least get it HPI'd or RAC checked or both ...

We have changed several Disco 3 panoramic roofs usually for dealers and it's not too bad a job. There are a couple of variations on the roofs but the cost is around £300 plus VAT for each version. Fitting normally takes no more than a couple of hours or so and isn't too difficult if you know what you're doing.
Which insurer are you with as the majority will cover panoramics?

I am with swift cover. Is it £300 + VAT all in?
It is a friend of a friends car, so know it is all ok. Just they didn't notice the roof as the internal blinds are over and they have not cleaned the roof!

The glass itself from LR is around £300 plus VAT. Fitting is on top of that, probably around £100 or so plus VAT to include labour and consumables.
