Afternoon all!
Nearly finished my chassis swap! Woop woop, have hit a slight set back though with the steering system, just infront of the PAS box there is a diagonal cast arm that bolts to the outside of the chassis main rail top and bottom through some tubes welded to the chassis...I think this is the Panhard arm? (probably wrong though)...anywho, the ones on my 200tdi are two long imperial bolts, but on the galv chassis the 'welded tubes' are loads shorter, something to do with the fact its based on a td5 chassis, I've rang around and noone can tell me what the td5 bolt is called, and obviously I haven't got one that I can take to nut and bolt shop down road So anyone had this problem before and know what the td5 bolt is so I can go get some and get the landy driving?
Will post some pics up when I'm done, has been great fun apart from the dodgy HSS hire crane which I thought was gonna kill me!
