Hi, I know a while back a few people were asking about paint to enhance the apperance of their dulled eybrows on there defenders. I woke up this morning thinking about black tyre paint thinking it might work as due to being used on tyres it is much more flexible than traditional paints therefore is much less likely to crack or chip. It is also more hardwearing than the use of products such as waxoil and due to it curing small bugs or dust wont be attracted to its surface. This paint could also be used for touching up mudflaps too which after a while also look slightly tatty.

I was wondering if anyone else used tyre paint for such applications and whether it would stand the test of time??

Such paint is only a few quid on ebay so I might just get some, for the tyres and rubber mudflaps alone its a small price to pay compared with the price of new ones...

I painted my mud flaps with Holts tyre paint and they look great and the water/mud runs off them much better. As you thought, it does stay flexible and is hardwearing. I must have done them about 2 years ago.

Thanks for the advice discomania, well a bit of an update here, when visiting my local motor factors I purchased a can of tyre paint so will upload a few pics in the next couple of days to show the results, before/after shots.
