Hi, I want to paint my rear crossmember and chassis can somebody recommend a decent paint to do this job??

Thanks Andy

In the past I have used something I believe was called 'Conseal TU' and was made for painting shipping containers - so it was pretty tough. The key thing is your preparation, get rid of all the crap first and use a zinc based primer in order for it to stand a fighting chance. You may also consider lifting the tub so you can do the whole crossmember rather than just the bits you can see... from experience, it's the bits you can't see that rust and then cause you the problms.

Was going to paint my crossmember in the next couple of weeks, :dnfnoob: is "lifting the tub" straightforward or not:confused: I've had a quick search but can't find nowt. Cheers:hijacked:

Lifting the tubs pretty simply, if you a tray back. otherwise will need to take the roof off and sides off, theres alsothe line of bolts behind the seats and a couple at the back then off she pops
