Hi chaps,
I've given some of my panels a good going over with Bilux Cellulose red paint at a mix of 50/50 with thinners and the results are very good for an amateur :) . Is it recommended to apply a clear laquer to protect or is it nit usually needed?

Many thanks in advance,

I re-sprayed myn last year when I rebuilt it, ending in a 50/50 mix. After about 3k miles of use, greenlanes, getting to pay and plays, driving when my daily car is broken, or in snow :) ... I am pondering on lacquering when I re-sprayed this year, my first scratches came after about a month of spraying it when I went down a tight greenlane, they almost all buffed out. I found it was a case of every time I went down a lane it would need a polish after, mud was ok but if you left it on too long it would scratch when cleaning off (even if left to soak).
I'm going to do a quick test spray on a spare panel to see what it looks like before hand, given that a try?

Thanks for the helpfully reply
I'm quite happy with the finish but think I'll do the same job on the floor plates and then lacquer one and polish the other before I decide anything on the bulkhead

Cheers again
