As per the title really. My driver's door paint has started to bubble in the centre and drop off. Is this a sign of some electrolytic oxidation? Something steel pressing behind, maybe?

Anything to worry about or best just to clean it up and add some touch-up paint or something?

Picture below.

Spot blast it and wash it well with thinners then prime with etch primer straight away, then over prime to stop it from spreading. Bared alloy must be coated within twenty minutes to prevent further oxidation.

It's very common with alloy panels. any moisture getting under the paint, pinhole in the paint or a stonechip left un-attended results in the reaction with the paint starting to lift. It's not urgent and wont corrode like steel but does look unsightly i grant you.

if it's small enough there's a few paint guys kicking around now that do localised paint repairs rather than do a whole panel (what they refer to as smart repairs), and they visit you. here's a tyipcal one in your neck of the woods.. Car Doctor Online - Smart repairs Milton Keynes Cant recommend them as have no experience or connection with them

Look carefully the area of corrosion is much larger than the part where the paint is flaked off. Needs treating to stop it spreading.
