Hi everyone - pleased to join your forum.

Bristol was dumped on from a great height yesterday....3 inches at least !
My newly acquired Series 3 SWB was all ready for action only to be the only car that I could not get up the drive! Rear nearside wheel spinning only ! Probably stuck free-wheeling hub but despite much hitting and shouting at them, I could not free which ever one is not free to engage (if you get my drift - pardon the pun).
Can anyone give my any suggestions - or could there be other issues lurking. Only bought it yesterday so a little disappointed! Ran fine from London to Bristol. No problems at all but that was in 2-wheel drive obviously. Hope someone can help?

Anyway, a Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year to you all.

:welcome2: erm like dripper has said, did you have all your knobs at the right settings:confused::D you still have to engage 4 wheel drive with the knob as well as the hubs:cool:

Thank you for your replies.

First I tried depressing the yellow Four Wheel Drive selector on its own. That didn't work so I disengaged it by selecting low and then high range (low towards me and high away from me). I then selected low range which should automatically select four wheel drive and that didn't work either. I wasn't sure whether that is all correct or not as I am not that experienced with these knobs etc. Does it sound ok? Any thoughts as to what else it might be?

if you look in the series section further down the forum there is a piece in there which tells you what your knobs are for;):p plus tis the best place to ask about series stuff:)
