I once asked him to do a service on a BMW I'd just bought. He phoned me up and said not to bother as it had clearly been done very recently. I like an honest mechanic.
He's also been good with my P38. With the air suspension, he made the effort to trace the problem rather than replacing random parts in the hope he'd strike lucky.
