P38 Water Pump replacement - gasket sealant?

Hi Guys,

Should I be looking to use some sealant on the new gasket for my new water pump? I vaguely recall using blue hylomar in the past on other cars.

Or shouldn't I need any?

Used red Hermatite on mine - no problems since

If both surfaces are clean you should not need any. But if you decide to use some, Hylomar is the best sealant by a million miles.
