p38 transfer box

Hello , i have a 1996 4L p38 with 84k on the clock , but over the last couple of months the transfer box has started to whine, i've tried turning up the stereo but its no good, it needs to be sorted, now the question is can i buy the parts to re build it my self???? i have an a vast work shop to hand and plenty of tools, can they be re conditioned???? any idear of cost????? i don't have a copy of rave .... where can i down load it from??? dose it cover transfer box rebuild????? is it a hard job???? hope you can help me...... thanks rob
