P38 Switchpack - Purple & White wire?

Hi All,

going through the P38 switchpack replacement routine. Old one wouldn't raise/lower all the windows. New one will open but not close the sunroof, so back to the breaker again... but that's not my question:

In the centre console there is a multiplug jumper for the switchpack, but there was also another cable with two wires (purple and white) and jumper. What is this for?

Can't remember the colours, so it may be something else, but in mine there's an unplugged cable that would go into the rear footwell lights, beneath the rear ashtray. Mine being a DSE doesn't have those lights (that are only present in HSE or DHSE versions, IIRC).
