Am a newbe to the wonders of a P38, I have the Karmon convertion Stereo and the Multi CD has packed up (It was laid to rest at the weekend).

I have moved on from this tragic loss and would either like to replace the head unit with an aftermarket Stereo (Q. Where do I get the blanking plates from ?? everyone I contact states no problem unless you have the Karmon conversion !)

or

Get a new multi CD changer (Problem is all of the connectors are round and the connector in the boot is square ??)

Also as the boot has the "sub woofer" fitted will and of these options have an issue with it ?

PS I dont want you to think im cruel moving on so swiftly from me demised cd changer....in truth we had been drifting apart as it did not like my taste in music !

I have taken it out of the car, out of the case and one of the CD'd is jammed half way into the reading bay, it looks pretty terminal so im pretty sure it is at it's end.
Can an off the shelf multi changer be added onto this system ? As previously stated the connector is square rather than what seems to be the standard circular connector

is it the alpine or clarion system? i recently had a similar problem with my cd changer,my cd's kept getting stuck half in and out, when i took it apart, the spring loaded dampers which stop any skipping were set different, so i set them the same on the top adjustment and its working fine.
