P38 Starting when hot and cutting out issues?

Hi there....
Can any of you fine gents give me a clue as to what may be the cause of these problems:
Cuts out only when warm and is a pain to restart?
At the lights need to put in neutral and feather the pedal or it cuts out?

Is it a fuel problem or is there a 'regular' problem with this?

It might just help if you mentioned whether it was petrol or diesel, manual or auto, LPG???? There's some extremely good people on here but magicians they aint.

Take a hard look at the ECU engine temp sensor.

Sorry guys! It is a 4.0SE petrol. Fuel seems to be an issue but i will check engine temp sensor. thanks.

I have now bought an engine temp sensor. The one with two wires to it. Is that the ECU sensor?
What else can i look for please?
I love the RR but this prob is getting me down!!

Yes, fits in the inlet manifold on rh side looking in from front of car Part no.ETC8496

First thing I would do is squrt a good dose of carb cleaner up the inlet to clean the sensors , tps etc.

Many thanks guys for your help. Im going to have a day off to try to sort this out!! If it doesnt work then where can i go to for help? Im in Solihull!!!!!!!!!!!! of all places!!!

Sorry guys! The fault seems to be getting worse? It now coughs and splutters as im driving along as if the fuel is cutting in and out?
I have looked for loose wires in the engine bay but to no avail...
Any ideas guys??????
