P38 Roof Rails/Bars

My 98 P38 came with original LR roof rails and bars, but no paperwork. Tried a search but nowt specific to fitting.

Does anyone have fitting destructions they might copy/e-mail or post up here?

They've had lil use, but equally lil tatty, so I'll spray them up and laquer before fitting.

Thinking I'd fit rails and leave them on - fitting bars as and when needed. I know bars produce drag, wind noise, lower economy.....presumably just side rails not so much?

Just wondering those that have roof rails, any noticable wind noise, drop in economy, easy enuf to fit?

Guess I'll get them sprayed n laquered then just try it; hopefully there won't be too much wind drag/noise/loss of economy!

I put some on about three years ago and can say no noticeable difference so go for it

Thanks Sandyt, as soon as ****mas outa the way I'll get some garage space back so I can get on with good clean n spray - "one certainly would not be happy to wear them in their present state" spoken in true Rangie tone lol!
