Hi Guys, I have a problem with my p38 4.0 V8. It was running sweet then the oil light came on and the pressure dropped... I turned it off to save engine damage but There seems to be a noise coming from the oil pump area. It is not knocking.. (serpantine engine).

Is there anyone on this forum or even know of anyone in the swansea/Llanelli area of S.Wales interested in doing a job of stripping and changing whatever is damaged?

Any help will be appreciated. Andrew

It's not a very difficult job to do on P38. The oil pump is part of the timing case so it should be just a matter of removing the viscous fan, the water pump, crank pully and maybe the sump. You might need to remove the radiator for access but all in all it should be pretty straightforward.
