Hi, can anyone help me with this?

I have a 97' P38 2.5 DSE, which was running perfectly until i fitted a PSI Power Chip. I have fitted chips previously on other cars, but never had the following result.
After fitting the chip the engine will no longer start or even turn over, with the ignition on the dash lights up and dies every 10 seconds. The computer flashes up just about every fault there could be ABS, Gearbox even windows. It also comes up with German!! the engine bay is full of ticking from the relays, fuel pump, ECU everywhere.
When i try and start the car nothing happens, the lights on the dash die sometimes and other times the starter just clicks.
I have obviously removed the chip, but it is still the same. I also disconnected the battery for 10 mins to try and reset (is there another way)?

Has anyone seen or heard of this before, what can i do??

Thanks

hi,was this a chip or a powerbox you fitted??.

Nope nothing else was done, it started perfectly before it was fitted and nothing since.

Like i said I have fitted these to other car and never had anything liek this happen?

You have all the signs of a dead battery. Try charging it through a wall adapter or using a good one from another P38 (mind the amps).

hi i had the exact same problem a couple of months ago fitting the same piggyback chip, when installed did the same kind of stuff you mention,i had to have it on testbook which would not communicate with it,turns out it buggered the ecu, they fitted another ecu and that was me up and running again hope this helps wullie

Thanks folks,
I will try the quick checks first, before getting hooked up at the garage! fingers crossed its not the ECU though!
