Think it's disgusting. Your old ones look quit good but would send the new ones back with all that **** and leaves on them.:D:D:D
Sadly full service history just means a stamp in a book, it does not mean it has been serviced properly. Which is patently obvious from your photo.

Yeah, maybe one of the numerous 'extras' we have to pay separately for in a service days.

Glad the filter catches so much crap, if that lot were breathed in I'd be brown bread by now :D:D

Landrover service schedual says change pollen filters every 12.000 miles. They should be included in service cost.

Shouldn't the foam filter under the windscreen catch the leaves before they get to the pollen filters?

Ahh. Good point. That would probably be because my foam filters are shredded into several pieces lying at the bottom of the void . Another job on the list :). Could this lack of foam filters possibly contribute to my wet drivers side carpet syndrome? ....which I already know is not air con drain or heater o-rings or sunroof drains or pollen filter covers .... I've checked all of them!!:(

Think you will find the foam filters don't cover the entire opening. At least the one i got didn't.

I replaced my foam filters with pool filters that i cut to size so now all vents are covered with them

Quick update on my wet drivers side carpet – during the recent dry spell (at last) I stripped the plenum area below the windscreen of all plastic covers, got rid of all the leaves and crud built up due to the external foam filter breakup. The sealing of the pollen filter cover in the past has not worked, so I removed the pollen filter housing, applied silicone sealant to the aperture area between the rubber and the metal bulkhead and then applied silicone grease between the seal and the pollen filter housing when I refitted it. I also made a mesh screen out of galvanised wire mesh to replace the original, seems to have worked out well. However, every silver lining has a cloud – after re-assy of everything I mixed some red food dye and water, then sprayed the lower windscreen drivers lower corner. After 30 mins, no leaks inside (floor covered in white paper), sprayed some more, after 1 hr no leaks. After rain overnight, red splodge of dye/water on the paper. Arse.

Stripped off the lower trim panel from under the steering column and the black panel holding the puddle light (aptly named). From the attached pic it is obvious where is it coming from – the lower edge of the recirculation flap. But I am now at a bit of a loss as to where the hell this is getting in to the duct. Will have to wait for some good weather again, strip off all the plastic over the plenum area again and drop some red dye around the seal to see how it’s getting in. Should have done that first time, but I did think the sealant I used would nail it.

Really need to sort this as having a wet carpet right in from of the BECM and next to loads of big looms is asking for trouble.

Did you clean the pollen filter drains? Hidden under the plastic pollen filter mount held by about 8 rusty screws. got to do mine, I hope that is where the leak is coming from on mine, fecking mouse has eaten my nearly new pollen filter as well.

Are they made from cheese over in Franceland?:D:D

Pollen filter drain Keith? I've cleared the drain in the corner of the metallic bulkhead, but could not see one when I lifted the pollen filter housing out?

Some pics on a separate thread below. Others with varying success. Interesting to note the comment about the wiper arm rubber plug, have to take another look at that. But I've everything else talked about.

Did you hoover the blower motors out too? Insert a decent size flexy hose too your Hoover :) it's amazing how many leafs get past.

I didn't to be honest, as the blower motors looked very clean, the filters seemed to keep the leaves out, it's just the flippin water. :frusty:
