p38 noisey gearbox

Hi to everyone. I have a 1998 p38 which makes a noise in 1st and 2nd when hot - quiet when cold- no noise in top anyone ant ideas or can anyone suggest a good gearbox fixer near staines any help much appreciated cheers sandy

how old is the oil in it????

I didnt know so i replaced the oil and filter 2 days ago and still has the same noise am i into a replacement

IIts a sort of whine a bit like my ex wife sort of goes on and on . wondered if i had a bearing going in the box

could be ..it don't jump out of gear and its not hard to change gears?????? could be a bearing.. what about when the clutch pedal is pressed

sorry my fault its an automatic and it behaves ok just the nose which is really irritating

ah!! it might need the bands adjusting but apart from oil and filter changes i havn't been inside an auto box for years
