Hi,
Recently put in new matrix and o rings in to fix leak , usual wet drivers carpet near door it was coolant as to touch it left your hands stickie and to taste it was sweet , coolant in header tank going down . Now its still leaking would the problem be those rubber o rings as i have checked the carpet around the area and its dry , still coolant seems to find its way from somewhere to just in front of the computer fuse box beside door looseing 250ml of coolant to a tank of fuel , just cannot figure it out just sitting in workshop thinking about taking it all apart again , i took the greatest off care putting everything back together , on a bit off a downer , have taken out the drivers carpet and thought about just driving for the next week to try and race the leak , anybody got any thoughts .

if like the last one I did it had flat seals from new and o rings as replacements-then the original standoff lips on clamp slide over matrix connection. otherwise it leaks

Bricko,
I sincerely hope you do not have the same problem as i did. I too replaced my heater matrix due to O rings leaking and could not stop it. It turned out to be a bad block causing #2 cyl to leak into the waterway. This was presurising my cooling system and blowing coolant out at the O rings as these must be lower reistance than the coolant cap. If your rig is a V8 then you might want to check each spark plug to see if any look as if they have been steam cleaned.
