hi all,i have a 97 dse manual, im having problem selecting 1st gear,has any body had this fault ????

Whats the condition of the clutch like?Does it bite early or feel light to press?

clutch ok as far as im aware,if you raise clutch slightly when rolling up to lights etc it will drop in to gear,SOMETIMES !.

mines a bit of a pain to select first sometimes, better to go to second then up into first sometimes. not sure if its the selector setup rather than the clutch/gearbox though.
