P38 Key Fob upgrade

Hi all

thinking my old set of keys could do with a make over but think that style of key fob is starting to look a bit dated. So i was just wondering if anyone has upgraded the actual key fob to a new shape for the newer range rover.

Buy a newer Range Rover, keys included

save your money for when something important goes wrong IMO

+1, when its not in the ignition its in your pocket, or are you the type to drop it on the bar so everyone can see what you drive?

I'm not sure how you think it looks dated. I think it looks a pretty good design for 20 years old.

Even the L322 (early ones) don't have a flip key I think?

You can if you are brave enough fit a new case that are sometimes on Ebay, but there are certain pitfalls to doing that. You can if not VERY careful, cut through internal components rendering the fob totally knackered.

He could always get a new style case and pretend it works.

You could get an auto security company to fit a new system. Probably half way to a grand at least though

Difficult to persuade it to sync the engine to the BECM though

Probably cheaper to buy a newer RR, they come with the new style fob. You can just tell everyone it is a special edition P38.

The development mule that had the P38 lights looked a lot better than the proper thing.
