Heres a problem i had which made me a little mad because i didn't expect service like this.

I've always had my insurance with Peter Best of Maldon, They insured my Series landy's and also my Classic Rangie under a classic car inursance with no NCB.

Never had a problem with them until i decided one lunchtime to phone Peter Best for a quote for my P38, the girl said that she would fax me a quote within the hour, Come 4 o'clock still no quote, so i decided to call them again, "Sorry i've not worked it out yet, I'll call you tommorrow" came the reply, I'm not sure about you, but i wasn't very happy with that, I mean most quotes are completed online nowdays, so she didn't seem very helpfull when i demanded a quote by 5pm saying that 4 hours was ample time to prepare my quote! I mean how hard is it to prepare a quote for a P38 4.6 HSE?? Its pretty standard from where i'm sitting!

Five minutes to 5pm i got a fax saying that i cannot be insured because i didn't have any no claims bonuses, What a load of TOOT!!

I seriously think that Peter Best have lost the plot here and i certainly would not recommend them to anyone else. Eventualy i got cover with Admiral Insurance for only £445 Fully comp, Free Windscreen cover and accident helpline included and that with no NCB whatsoever, So be cautious when looking at insurance, Sometimes the best deals are not where you expect them.

Peter Best still advertise in Landrover Mags but it certainly pays to shop around.

Has anyone else had any problems with their insurance???
