Just put my instrument panel back in and one of the information centre bulbs looks like it's gone.

Anyone know if these are readily available (ie Halfords etc) or are they a LR only part? I'd rather replace it now before I put the rest back together if I can...

If the capless bulb pulls out of the holder, you should be able to get them from Halfrauds, but usually cheaper to buy them by the box from a motor factor.
If however the wires on the capless bulbs are soldered to the contacts on the base, they are LR parts.....unless you are a dab hand at fine soldering work.
Can't remember which type they are .

I can't remember now either and I was only looking at them yesterday!

I think I'll leave it and get a bunch from LR in the week. I'm usually dissapointed whenever I venture to Halfrauds anyway and the nearest one is 10 miles away so probably not worth bothering.

The wee bulbs with the permanent plastic plugs are fairly 'normal' on lots of cars. I've got a box full of various types from my old Merc E class dashboard. On that I changed all the dash lights from clear bulbs to blue then later changed them to blue leds. I just bought the bulbs off fleabay then when I was ready unsoldered the bulb from the plastic bit and replaced it with an led and a resistor from Maplin.

I'd suggest to everyone that whenever they're in a scrappy they have a nose at other dash assemblies and they might find the odd bulb that would come in handy in the future.
