Tank is plastic, you may have a problem with the mounting strap nuts being corroded. From memory they are 17 mm, a bit of heat will shift them. If the tank has not been off before then its time to change the brake pipes that run behind it.:)

Sorry, I didn't enclose enough info. probably 'cause I felt was hi-jacking a thread:eek: Mine is a '87 model year, so steel tank & (so I've been advised on here) a floor that's secured with rivets.

Not a P38 then. There should be a removable access panel in the boot floor on your car.

No access panel in floor of my 89 classic when I had it in bits welding it up.

Range rover 1986 to 1991. Early models to GA441003 rear floor MXC7581 no access panel. From GA441004 to GA464553 MXC7151 rear floor assembly access panel. GA464554 and up MXC9096 rear floor assembly access panel. Unless Microcat is wrong.

Not a clue what vin was now, it was 10 years a go at least when welding it up and its still around so I hear. Did the rear cross member, inner and outer sills, patched foot wells, bottom of door pillars and rear wheel arches, didnt have to touch front inner wings though.
