P38 HEVAC control unit

Hi all, i need to replace my HEVAC control unit as it is not very well!!, does it matter which model i use as i see there are a few different part numbers knocking about. my car is a X reg P38a, anyone know of a good place to get a decent A/C condenser as that has gone again, less than 12 months old and now has 2 bloody stone holes, need to mod the grille me thinks!!! You are right to suspect that the HEVAC unit went through at least two designs. It is best to get one suited to your model year / VIN.

Just bought one from ebay for my 1998 DSE.
The ebay unit as the same part number as mine (although was made in 2000).
Everything works fine, but it reads ext temp 0ºC (32F), when my unit reads 22ºC..
(my unit displyas is deffective....doesnt show all the figures...)
Any ideas?

You bought a duff one

Cant you alter them? I did mine.. not sure if you can alter so they are both in (f) or oC though, mine was reading in (f) but changed (by holding certain button down i think) mine to celcius

That will just change the units..

But what if i just swap the display? Is it an easy job?

(sorry for hijack your thread lizalandy, but if i started a new thread would be redundant)
